Licence to use SUBTL

SUBTL grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app on Apple devices you own or control, for your own use, in accordance with these terms and the App Store terms. You may not copy, modify, sell, or distribute the app or its services except as these terms allow.

Your content

You own your videos and the captions you create. SUBTL claims no ownership of your media. So that the service can work, you grant SUBTL a limited, revocable licence to process your uploaded audio and video — and the resulting caption text and your edits to it — solely to provide and improve the captioning service, as described in our Privacy Policy. Uploaded media is deleted from our servers after processing.

You are responsible for the content you caption and export, and you confirm you have the necessary rights to any media you upload.

Accounts

You can use SUBTL without an account. Signing in with Apple or Google is optional and is needed only to generate captions on our servers. When you sign in, you are responsible for activity under your account. You can delete your account at any time from within the app.

Subscriptions & pricing

SUBTL is free to start, with a limited number of free videos. SUBTL Pro is an optional auto-renewing subscription that unlocks unlimited videos and watermark-free exports.

Payment is charged to your Apple Account on confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time in your device's Account Settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

Purchases are processed by Apple and are subject to Apple's terms. Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with their policies.

Acceptable use

• Don't use SUBTL for unlawful, infringing, or harmful content.
• Don't upload media you do not have the right to use.
• Don't attempt to reverse-engineer the app, probe or disrupt the service, or access it by any means other than the app.
• Don't abuse the service, including automated or excessive use that degrades it for others.

Service availability

Caption generation depends on our servers and third-party services, and may be interrupted, degraded, or changed. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time. We will make reasonable efforts to keep the service available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation.

Disclaimer

SUBTL is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Automatic transcription may contain errors — review your captions before publishing.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SUBTL will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of (or inability to use) the app. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Termination

You can stop using SUBTL at any time and delete your account in the app. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms or misuse the service. Sections that by their nature should survive — including content ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability — survive termination.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time; the "Last updated" date above reflects the current version. Continued use of the app after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and any disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of India.
